Description

This course is designed to help each individual student develop the mental and physical skills needed to be a consistent auditioner. Study will include vocal coaching, material selection, and mock auditions with feedback.

Objectives:
  1. Enhance Audition Techniques: Focus on advanced audition skills, including refined vocal techniques and stage presence (Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation).
  2. Strategic Material Selection: Assist students in selecting and preparing audition materials that best highlight their abilities (Anchor Standard 4: Select, analyze, and interpret artistic work for presentation).
  3. Professional Mock Auditions: Conduct professional-level mock auditions with detailed feedback to prepare students for real-world audition scenarios (Anchor Standard 6: Convey meaning through the presentation of artistic work).

Christina Walker

Christina Walker has been a private vocal performance coach for over 20 years, working with singers, actors, songwriters and speakers to fine-tune vocal technique and perform at high levels when under pressure. She is also the founder of PRACTICE-POLISH-PERFORM®, a virtual training program for youth performers that is the first of its kind to train the skill of Performing Arts Mindset™. Christina is a mom of 4 (ages 16-20), grew up as a missionary kid in Taiwan, and loves a great cafe!
