In this introductory class, young children ages 3-8 will learn the joy of music and of singing together in a group. Through creative dramatics, activities, games, and stories, students will not only have fun, but learn important skills such as rhythm, teamwork, and expression.
Objectives:
- Develop Rhythm and Coordination: Introduce basic rhythmic patterns and movements to enhance their musical timing and coordination (Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation).
- Foster Teamwork and Social Skills: Use group activities to promote social interaction and teamwork among young students (Anchor Standard 6: Convey meaning through the presentation of artistic work).
- Stimulate Creativity and Imagination: Engage students with creative dramatics and storytelling to encourage imaginative play and expression.
