Description

In this introductory class, young children ages 3-8 will learn the joy of music and of singing together in a group. Through creative dramatics, activities, games, and stories, students will not only have fun, but learn important skills such as rhythm, teamwork, and expression.

Objectives:
  1. Develop Rhythm and Coordination: Introduce basic rhythmic patterns and movements to enhance their musical timing and coordination (Anchor Standard 5: Develop and refine artistic techniques and work for presentation).
  2. Foster Teamwork and Social Skills: Use group activities to promote social interaction and teamwork among young students (Anchor Standard 6: Convey meaning through the presentation of artistic work).
  3. Stimulate Creativity and Imagination: Engage students with creative dramatics and storytelling to encourage imaginative play and expression.

Je'Lisa Brown grew up in the DFW area. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor's degree in Family Studies. Je'Lisa has a passion for the non-profit industry, dedicating several years serving children and families in a variety of settings. Je'Lisa is excited to serve CYT families by providing a safe place for children to explore the arts while glorifying Jesus!
