We are so glad you are joining us for classes! Please read the below information carefully.

Current Registration Requirements

All published staff/dates/times/locations are subject to change.
  • Online registration at CYT Dallas is available up to 24 hours after the second class meeting. Late registrations are not prorated.
  • All registrations must be paid in full before students can be enrolled. To ensure prompt enrollment, pay online when registering. The credit card processing fee is included when paying online!
  • Since some classes fill quickly, register early! We do have a wait list for classes that fill, however, it's highly unlikely that that wait list is activated. 
  • Students must meet age requirements by the first class day of the session.
  • Some classes require additional fees or the purchase of supplies (e.g. make-up or tap shoes).
  • If student auditions for a production and is not cast, no class refund will be issued.
  • No refunds will be given once 24 hours have passed after the second class meeting.
  • There is a $25.00 fee to cover third-party processing charges for cancellations and refunds will be prorated.
  • Confirmation of registration payment is emailed.
  • Confirmation paperwork, once enrolled, is available from your family summary page.
  • Payment can be made online, by mail, or in person. 
  • If we have to cancel the full session of your particular class due to enrollment and there is no other option you are interested in, we will give you a full refund (no third-party fee).
  • Attendance is crucial for both individual progress and maintaining class dynamics. If a student misses three classes within a show session (Fall, Winter, Spring), they will be removed from the class. This policy also applies to students participating in a CYT Dallas Production; missing three classes will result in removal from the production as well.

Audition Classes

  • Some classes are audition-based classes and may require a longer commitment. In this case, you will not register for the class. Pending auditions, you will be added to the class.
  • Students who do not make the class will be notified via email and given the option to select another class.

CYT Dallas Age Policy

Classes
Students must meet the class age requirement before the first day of class. This applies to both Trimester and Studio Classes.

Students who turn 18 years old must:
  1. Sign a new Commitment to Character
  2. Consent to a Background Check through Protect My Ministry
  3. Successfully complete a Child Safety Course through Protect My Ministry
Students who turn 19 years old during a class session will be required to withdraw from the class upon turning 19. For a Trimester Class, tuition will not be prorated. For a Studio Class, tuition will not be charged the following month. Students may not audition for Project Play if they will turn 19 before the final performance date.

Please note that on occasion, a show contract (The Lion King and Les Mis, for example) had its own age requirements. In those cases, when we enter into a contractual agreement,  CYT will submit to their age requirements, as they overrule our own. We may submit a request for an exception if a student requests it, but we will comply with whatever the company requires.

Students must be:
Age 3 (Potty-trained) for Wiggles classes/camp
Age 5 for Our Gang classes/camp
Age 8 for Show Auditions, and for Kids classes/camp
Age 13 for Teen classes/camp

Class Tuition Policies

Tuition Policies - Studio Classes

The following policies apply to Studio Classes:
Your monthly tuition payments will be automatically billed to the card on file. Tuition is due on the 1st of every month and will be processed through auto-billing. You will receive an emailed receipt promptly after your tuition is billed on the 1st. For detailed tuition rates, please refer to our rate sheet.

CYT Studio Class tuition covers the entire programming season from August 2024 to May 2025. Payment for the full season is mandatory for all students and is not based on the number of classes per month or attendance. Please note that there are no refunds for missed classes; however, we offer makeup classes in similar styles to accommodate missed sessions.
  • Tuition Schedule: Tuition rates cover the full season from August to May and are divided into equal monthly payments from August through May. This payment secures a student's place in their selected class or classes and must be paid irrespective of attendance each month.
  • Monthly Consistency: Tuition remains the same each month, regardless of the number of class weeks (some months may have five weeks, while others may have two or three).
  • Discount: A 5% discount is available for those who choose to pay in full for the entire season upfront.
  • Payment Due Date: Tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
  • Late Fees: A $20 per student late fee will automatically be charged to all late accounts on the 10th of each month.
  • Delinquent Accounts: If tuition becomes delinquent, students may be subject to removal from classes until the account is brought current.
  • Returned Checks: There will be a $25 charge for all returned checks.
  • Refund Policy: No refunds will be given for any month in which a class or classes have already occurred. No refunds are given for Pay-In-full accounts.
  • Withdrawal Policy: If a student needs to withdraw from a class, written notice must be provided to the Director of Education at least 30 days in advance. Failure to provide timely notice will result in continued tuition charges.
  • Special Circumstances: In cases of prolonged illness or injury, please contact the office to discuss possible tuition adjustments.
This payment policy is designed to ensure the smooth operation of our classes and to maintain fairness for all participants. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Additional Policies

  • Rescheduling/Substitution: CYT Dallas reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher at any time. CYT Dallas reserves the right to reschedule or combine classes.
  • Attendance: Attendance is crucial for both individual progress and maintaining class dynamics. If a student misses three classes within a show session (Fall, Winter, Spring)/within an 8 week period, they will be removed from the class. This policy also applies to students participating in a CYT Dallas Production; missing three classes will result in removal from the production as well.
  • Studio Closure: In the event of inclement weather or a mandatory CYT closure, we will notify you via email and social media. While we generally follow local school closings, we may make independent decisions based on specific circumstances. In such cases, we will inform you about makeup classes. Makeup classes may be conducted either in-studio or digitally.
